The Dinner and a Movie Series returns to Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort’s Grand Oak Ballroom in a spectacular three-month installment. The first Dinner and a Movie is in the Grand Oak Ballroom with the feature film Easy Rider. Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper star as bikers who travel across the United States in search of America. Amador County Recreation Agency and the Amador County Cemetery Board are hosting their 4th annual Spaghetti Feed at the Sutter Creek Auditorium. All proceeds benefit ACRA's Afterschool Program and the Amador County Cemetery Board. Come for great spaghetti served with meaty red sauce or traditional pesto, garlic bread, salad, dessert, no-host beverages, wine, soda and water (please no outside alcohol). Jackson Creek Dental Group will once again be hosting Smile for Kids to treat children, at no cost, who “fall between the cracks” in healthcare – children who would not otherwise receive dental treatment from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Because of the overwhelming number of children attending this event appointments will be scheduled in advance starting Monday, January 12th, 2015. Don’t miss this opportunity to take three 90-minute workshops of your choice given by some of our area’s top artists. For adults, it costs $30, or for junior and high school students, $15. This is the total for 3 classes, supplies included. This fun mini arts institute begins at 8:00 am for check-in. Classes start at 8:30 and end at 2:00 pm at Amador High School in Sutter Creek. Pre- Registration is required. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 15 – 20 students for most classes. So, register early; deadline is February 15.
