Ralye's 75th Anniversary

Raley's celebrates 75 years

It's been 75 years since Tom Raley opened his first market in Placerville, Calif. Raley's celebrated its 75th Anniversary in February 2010 and is extending the celebration to customers in stores and online.

In the spirit of this milestone, Raley's is giving away one $75 gift card every day now through the end of March. Plus, a grand prize winner will take home $750 in gift cards. To enter, customers simply post what they're celebrating this year - whether it's a wedding anniversary or a baby on the way; a college graduation or a family reunion; a child's first lost tooth or a newfound hobby. Share what you're celebrating in 2010 and enter to win on raleys.com/75.

For only $4.99, customers can pick up a 75th Anniversary Something Extra Cookbook, packed with over 75 recipes and tips - and 100% of net proceeds benefits Food For Families. Plus, there are new limited edition 75th Anniversary products like cupcakes, coffee, ice cream and more available in stores for a limited time.

Raley's in Jackson has been serving Amador County since 1998 and plays a key role in the community, providing much beyond groceries for the area.

Through the company's Food For Families program, 100% of donations benefit the Interfaith Food Bank to feed the hungry in the area. During the holiday season, the Raley's in Jackson provides a significant amount of food donations for the Interfaith Food Bank as part of the companywide Holiday Bag program, which allows customers to purchase a bag of wholesome, nonperishable groceries valued at $20 for only $10.

Through the Quality of Life Card program, Raley's has donated over $50,000 to local organizations. Some groups include: Mokelumne Hill Parents Group, Community Christian School, Argonaut Booster Club, Jackson Junior High School Parent Group and Pioneer Elementary School.

Tom Thompson has been the Store Director at the Jackson store since 2002. "It's been an honor to serve the community and we look forward to welcoming a new generation of families through our doors at Raley's," Tom said. The store employs around 80 employees, with the majority from Jackson and the surrounding area.
